What should your bathroom look like? Imagine your best project. Then do it again from scratch...and again and again in a countless way. This is the basic idea of prefabricated bathroom pods: a niche product in which StercheleGroup® is highly specialized.

For over fifty years this company, from Isola Vicentina in Italy, has been offering industrial construction components to the market.

«Prefabricated bathroom pods allow to entrust to third parties the realization of the most complex and expensive part of a building: the bathrooms» - explains Mauro Sterchele, business manager of StercheleGroup®'s Bathroom pods division.

«No aspect of the bathroom is previously preconstituted: every single bathroom pod is designed according to the customers’ needs. Materials used, and consequently the final price, can vary significantly. Tipically, this product applies perfectly to non-residential buildings (such as hotels, nursing homes, hospitals and so on). The study of the sample, in fact, requires costs and efforts that would be too high for a single realization, but fits very well to a minimum of 15-20 elements».

The adoption of prefabricated bathrooms becomes an interesting solution: thanks to a highly skilled workforce; it is a quality customized product that allows reducing construction time on site significantly.

«Our main referents are architects and general contractor enterprises. The formers can mould and refine single details of their project with a final moke-up which is very difficult to imagine in a satisfactory way even with a three dimensional model. The latters are happy  because building times on site are impressively reduced and the industrial repetitiveness produces more quality». (…).

According to the business manager: «Originally our market was mostly abroad, where the use of prefabricated pods was already common. However in recent years, prefabricated bathroom pods have become an appreciated and well known product in Italy also because prefabrication has has moved from the typical industrial to the commercial and service sectors, which have major ambitions on aesthetic and architectural level.
For this reason prefabrication has particularly evolved in terms of technology, architecture and creativity, but due to the crisis we are dealing with very advanced companies suffering from a structural lack of demand».
