The idea of Bovieran was conceived by Goran Mellberg who created a new way of life for seniors, with a focus on social interaction, health and safety. The whole project was developed around the theme of social interaction: the result is a multi-residence building with common areas designed to facilitate socialization, set around a garden habitable throughout the year.
Initially all Bovierans consisted of 48 high-level apartments, divided into 4 types of different sizes, developed on 3 floors, arranged in horseshoe shape around the glass garden and with large balconies on the outer sides. Since 2018, the new developments increased the number to 55 units each.
StercheleGroup, with a multi-year supply agreement with Skanska Sverige AB, the main contractor in most of the projects, has contributed with the production and supply of n. 715 lightweight bathroom pods with different finishing levels for 14 different Bovierans (Borgholm / Eskilstuna / Falun / Helsingborg / Landskrona / Sala / Skövde / Strängnäs / Vänersborg / Växjö / Karlstad / Salem / Staffanstorp and Svedala).
The use of bathroom pods produced off-site allows the industrialization of the building process ensuring the best compliance with the expected quality minimizing the problems of the workfield.
The process includes a strong personalization of the bathroom by the final customer, which means that 49 bathrooms for each building may also be of 30 different typologies. This is possible thanks to the appropriate selection of finishes and the productive flexibility of StercheleGroup.
